This term P5B have been learning about oceans and the creatures that live there. We have all used the iPads to research an endangered species, ranging from river dolphins and hammerhead sharks to manatees and certain turtles. We then created a digital presentation about their threat of extinction and how humans can help prevent this. We also used a range of artistic techniques to create a huge underwater ocean display.
We had a lovely day out at the new Perth Museum exploring the artefacts on both floors. We also managed to see the Stone of Destiny exhibit. The history of the stone was explained by both interesting and creative animations. After the museum, we went to Perth Concert Hall to see a multimedia orchestral performance based on oceans.
We performed as part of the school Decades show (3 performances for parents). Our decade was the 80s and we concentrated on Live Aid. We sang and danced to 3 songs – Rocking All Over the World by Status Quo, Holiday by Madonna and We Will Rock You by Queen. We were awesome!!
We also took part in Safe Internet today by completing quizzes and creating our own avatars. We also had a Judo workshop that we really enjoyed.
