In Term 3, we have been learning lots of interesting facts about Scotland’s history and traditions.
We have enjoyed learning about the clans and their tartans as well as our castles and palaces. In food skills we have tried some medieval recipes, most of which were ok to eat, but we were not so keen on our medieval bread! We also learnt a Scots poem and some Scottish dances.
We all enjoyed our trips to the museum and to Scone Palace, where we explored our history through the artifacts and the buildings. We especially liked the peacocks flying up into the trees around Scone Palace, as well as the Stone of Destiny presentation in the Museum.
We have also visited the park, the woods and the Community Café, learning about how to explore our wider community safely,
In Term 4 we are learning about Summer. We will be growing some plants, looking at the weather, researching different types of holiday and destinations. We will also be learning about money and how to use it.
