In term 3 P7c have been learning a lot of things and doing lots of activities. Our topic this term has been ‘countries around the world’. Some of the countries we’ve learnt about are Australia, Maldives, Canada, Brazil and lots more. Aswell as that we have been doing a project on Sri Lanka, we have written a non-fiction report and completed a piece of artwork based on some of the things we have learnt, such as Leopards, Green Sea Turtles, Snakes Lion’s Rock and Colombo. In art we then made Sri Lankan native animals out of clay, we are going to paint them next week.
In maths we have been learning about the 4 coordinates where there are minus numbers as well as normal numbers. We also have been doing timetables and time differences between countries around the world. Mostly we’ve been looking at bus timetables around Scone and Perth which we have enjoyed.
For world book day we designed our classroom door to look like a famous book cover. We decided on Gantsa Granny by Roald Dhal. We had to make gems and coins. In class we have also been reading a book called Kick about a boy who lives in Indonesia and wants to be a professional footballer.
This term some people in the class took part in a gymnastic competition in the gym hall, we had adult helpers judging us, it was so much fun! We have also been doing lots of different sport in PE such as tennis, basketball and dodgeball. We've also had rugby sessions every Thursday from a coach from Perthshire rugby club which has been good fun.
